How to style basic outfits for that effortlessly chic look.

This year fashion is all about experimenting while still looking effortless and minimal at the same time. Today, we are gonna see how to achieve these effortless looks that most of the celebrities, k-pop idols carry with just basics.

How can we achieve this look? by the basics for real, we don't need to go overboard with any pieces. Here the colours, fabric, accessories are the one that gives off that effortless look which is so easy to carry. I really got inspired from the model off duty looks and how only basics are styled for that no effort casual kinda look.

These are the things(clothing pieces) we are going to see and know how to style them.

1. Patterned sweaters.

The most interesting piece that I found was patterned sweaters, style it up with high waisted jeans accessorise with some sneakers and I wanted to add this here because of the interesting pattern it gives that chic and retro vibe to the outfit. You don't need to add any additional accessories because the statement piece(patterned sweater)itself gives you that effortless look. Ensure the quality of the jeans is well made so that the whole outfit looks chic.

2. Vintage sweat shirts.

At this point everyone knew how classy and comfy these vintage sweat shirts are. They sure are one of the pieces which looks effortless when styled. There are sure a wardrobe staple and I really do not have to mention about this but still. The detail here to look after is the colour(vintage warm tones) and material of the sweat shirt. Pair it with jeans, sneaker or boots for that casual look and there you go, you will for sure look effortless in that outfit.

3. Black and white Tees.

When I see the model off duty looks, most of them are with these basic black and white Tees paired up with jeans. To amp up the outfit, they add jewellery or plain white sneakers which you know is such a versatile accessory to pair with. If you are going for a bit casual look pair them with leather pants or high waisted jeans like we talked on our previous post on how to style casually for that street style look they sure look effortless and chic.

4. Add a jacket on basic tees.

Now this is not a new combination that we are seeing but jackets like Leather jacket, corduroy, plain baggy shirts, Fannels, shackets are the one we are seeing a lot lately this winter and combination with basic tee and a jacket looks so effortless as well. Accessories like vans, heels or sneakers goes well with this outfit.

5. Leather pants and Jacket.

Layering leather jacket makes your outfit instantly chic and effortless as the faux leather jacket gives that edgy look that is so in right now. When it comes to leather pants they go well with any basic tops and these should be a must have to layer these winters. Add right amount of accessories like heels, sneakers, or jewellery for the effortless look.

6. Play with Neutral minimal tones.

Experiment when it comes to colours and go for neutral colours. Colours that suits you the most whether it be warm neutral tones or cool tones. Patterns and prints are the important details which are enough to make your outfit look effortless and chic. See what tones are trendy and if in doubt go for plain black and white colour clothing pieces and you will never go wrong.
