Having a solid skin care routine and changing it according to the season is very crucial. We have talked about why we should change our skincare seasonally and its benefits to our skin.
By changing Skincare means adding few steps to the routine which is not only applicable especially for skincare but also hair and body care. There are few steps that I want to talk about in this blog post so keep going through the following steps.

1. Use Sunscreen regularly.
Even though its gloomy or a rainy day do not skip sunscreen. Apply a thick layer on your neck, shoulders, ears, hands and legs. Don't forget the area around your eyes because UV rays are still passing through our windows. Stock up on your favourite sunscreen this sale season Go for the sunscreen which has a SPF of 30 and above. Make sure you are re applying it.

2. Body oil.
Body oil is essential this winter season since we need more hydration. Keeping our body moisturised with lotions isn't enough skin because our skin becomes more dry during winter. So using a body oil is beneficial to our skin like how it locks in the moisture and keeps our skin hydrated throughout the day. I have talked about this in detail in my recent blog post about the shower essentials this season, so do check that out I'm sure that it will be helpful for you.

3. Exfoliating.
The another important step in our skin and body care routine is exfoliation. Use a gentle exfoliator and remove those dead skin cells once or twice a week. This makes sure that our skin is not bumpy and dry it becomes much softer. Use a home made scrub which gets the job done as the one available in the market. Don't forget to moisturise your skin right after the shower.
4. Hair oiling.
Oiling your hair really makes so much of a difference it improves the health and texture of your hair especially for chemically treated hair when our hair becomes dry and dull. Use the one which is suitable to your hair concern. Apply it on your scalp and leave it on for 1-2 hours or overnight to get the best results. This really helps to condition your hair and this step is even more essential in winters since our hair tends to be more dry and lifeless. So make sure you are following this step in your hair care routine. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to your hair oil if you are having itchy scalp or dandruff, it really helps to calm your scalp.
5. Applying a thick crème on the elbow and knees.
Elbow and knees are the areas that are exposed to friction, using a crème that is thick is suitable to keep them moisturized during winter season. I recommend to use Borolin which is the cheapest alternative and is also used as a lip mask just apply a layer of it while going to sleep and you will wake up with pink and hydrated lips so, I highly recommend you guys to try it out. Not only I use it on my lips but also on elbows and knees it keeps them moisturized for long time.
6. Deep conditioning Hair mask.
As we talked in about hair oiling, it is also important to add a deep conditioning hair mask in our hair care routine to give that deep nourishment to our hair again use the one that is suitable for your hair concern, use once or twice a week and you will have that healthy and shiny hair.
7. Avoid hot striping showers.
The most important thing to avoid is taking hot striping showers in winter season. It really strips the moisture from your skin and your skin becomes so dry, try to take warm showers this season and keep your body hydrated from inside out as well.

8. Using a sleeping mask.
start to add a sleeping mask or any kind of hydrating serum suitable for skin type in your skincare routine so that you are giving enough hydration to your skin grab these products during the sale time since sleeping masks are quit pricey. These will give you that plumped and hydrated glow to your face.
